TiO is honored to have been a part of the 17th Hero Home key ceremony presented by Operation Coming Home (OCH). OCH is a non-profit organization that provides homes for wounded combat veterans in partnership with the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County. On Thursday, July 13, 2018, OCH ceremoniously presented the key to a new home for Army Sgt. Anthony Von Canon and his family. Sgt. Von Canon was injured during a rocket attack in Afghanistan in 2009. The ceremony displayed a grand welcome home to the Von Canon family with a military tribute complete with waving flags and two flyovers.
The Von Canons’ new home was built by Level Homes, which focuses on sustainable living homes and communities. Level Homes partnered with TiO to donate the home complete with a TiO Home System.
Sanjay Patel, President and CEO of TiO, said, “There’s a lot of hard work that goes into what we do, and it’s days like this that make it all worth it. To see this very deserving family get their dream home and to know we had even a small part in it—that’s what it’s all about. We truly hope the Von Canons will enjoy the benefits of their TiO smart home for years to come.”
TiO gives the Von Canons the ability to control the lights, music, temperature and more, all simply through a wall switch, app, and voice control. The Von Canons can create their own customized TiO Experiences, so there is a setting to fit every occasion.
TiO would like to thank the Von Canon family for their service and wish them many happy years in their new smart home.
